Anyone who has visited Thailand is likely to have seen a small gecko. They’re called ‘jing jock’ in Thai and can be seen anywhere from inside a hotel room to scampering across the floor or up at the wall at restaurants.
But less common are sightings of these little fellows. They’re called the Long Tailed Grass Lizard and as the name suggests they have a long tail.
This one with a green body and long orange tail was spotted sitting on a rock in Pattaya. It surprised locals who called in the animal rescuers.
They explained that it was found in South East Asia, China and India but sightings were quite rare. After being picked dup for pictures, the little critter was released to go on his way.
