Bangkok has overtaken London as the world’s most visited city, according to business magazine Forbes.
The capital of Thailand racked up 15.98 million visitors generating $14.4billion in 2012 – an increase of 9.8 percent. London was second with 15.96 million visitors.
Bangkok’s top five feeder cities are Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Seoul.
It is the first Asian city to top the MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index.
The figures take into account tourists and business travellers.
